Zulime LaBeau is the Voodoo Queen, one of the
best Voodoo Queens that New Orleans has ever seen. But being that good
finds its own problems. She has rivals in the Big Easy and, with that
much magic flying around, something bad is bound to happen.
One day, a bad spell was cast. A spell so bad and so cruel that it was
designed to shake Zulime out of the city for once and all. A powerful
witch beguiled Zulime’s sister, Ines, stole her soul from her body,
trapped it in a golden locket and threw into the sea.
Zulime left New Orleans to find that locket before Ines’ empty body
died. She searched alone and for many years until her path crossed that
of the NachtZirkus. Feeling the need for travelling companions, she
joined the Zirkus. Having spent some time with them, she decided
to go her own way again. We wish her luck in her quest.
Zulime is a powerful witch who uses her power
with care and compassion. She uses her strength to heal and to help.
Zulime is fortune teller with the Zirkus.
Zulime lives to bring to bring comfort and
hope to the people who come to her seeking help.
The misconceptions that exist surrounding her
vocation.
This beautiful head came to me when the
sculptor, Twigling, and
I collaborated on some photographs for an article in the October 2010
edition of Haute Doll/Doll Reader magazine. She is a beautiful
sculpt. However, her head is somewhat larger than the peanut heads
of the rest of the troupe, and so she didn't quite fit in. She has
now gone to live with a friend, where she continues her work as a voodoo
queen.
