History

Mitzi and Mauzi are twin sisters and twin dominatrices.  They became legend on the Berlin BDSM circuit for their unsurpassed skill at eliciting exquisite extremes of mental and physical pain.  In fulfilling the ultimate fantasy of one of their clients, they became murderers.  They were recruited to the NachtZirkus where they express their unique style as trapeze artists.

Personality

Mitzu and Mauzi are rare birds whose natural habitat lies in the extremes on the periphery of everyday life.  They suffocate in the dead air of mundanity.  The twins can not understand a world that appears unwilling or unable to accommodate them.  For how long can they tolerate the pain of living?

Role in NachtZirkus

Doll Mistress Notes

The characters of Mitzi and Mauzi emerged when I was listening to Radiohead's Exit Music.  The song was written for the end credits for Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet and it so strongly conjures up the enactment of an epic decision.  In the case of Mitzi and Mauzi, the decision is to find peace and escape the world that can not tolerate them by formulating a suicide pact.  So, these characters were dead before they even began!

Mitzi and Mauzi proved very difficult to resincarnate.  I have never liked the sanitised style that seems to hold with female dolls, whether baby dolls or Barbies.  Most female ball-jointed dolls remind me of one or the other.  Personally, I don't see why breasts and character have to be mutually exclusive.

After 12 months of searching, Iplehouse brought out a female EID, Jessica.  Although it wasn't immediately obvious from the promo pics, it turns out that she has just the right face to convey the strength of character that typifies the twins  And the body, like that of the male EIDs, is a masterpiece of realism, if not engineering.  And so Mauzi was born.

If you want to hear some music to slash your wrists by, this is Radiohead performing Exit Song.
