On the eve of her thirteenth birthday,
Madeleine witnesses the accidental death of her mother. Left
without family or friends, she goes in search of the father she has
never met. Her mother had told her that her father was "special".
As she continues with her search, Madeleine finds out just what this
means. Her father is Baron Demian von Metzengerstein, fool and
acrobat with the NachtZirkus and congenital vampire. As she
progresses, Madeleine notices changes happening in her body and mind.
She experiences a hunger she has never felt and discovers powers she
never knew she had. What is she becoming?
Madeleine is determined and feisty.
She has seen more in her few, chaotic years than most people do in a
steady, safe lifetime.
Madeleine is
billed as Child Prodigy. She can read minds and levitate and
sometimes works with Palladino in his magic act.

The idea for
Madeleine was born when I sat someone's beautiful Unoa on Demian's lap
at a doll meet. He was in immediate need of a daughter and so the
hunt for the perfect sculpt began. Five months later, Madeleine
arrived. She is my first
female doll as, generally, I don't like them. However, she is as little like a Barbie as one can hope to
achieve. |
