En Famille II

The end of the last family portrait session saw the five members of the NachtZirkus waiting on the arrival of Horse. Horse is a Paracletus, a helper of the congenital vampires known as Peregrini. He is a Master of BDSM and tantra and joined the troupe to use his skill as our the Wild Animal Tamer.

But Lilu wasn’t the only one he got to tame…

And then there were six.

After a partnership that spanned two hundred years, Severin finally asked Palladino to join the troupe. Palladino is a castrato and alchemist who achieved fame throughout Italy as the man who could charm the birds from out of the trees. He joins the troupe as our singer, billed as L'angelo della Pietà.

It took some time to arrange for Dino to move to the Zirkus, but Severin was very glad he did.

Although he was welcomed by the troupe, his arrival was not without its difficulties.

Madam Mau Mau was on one of her scouting trips across Europe when she heard of a set of twins living in a Romanian orphanage. They had been found in a forest and it was rumoured that they had been raised by wolves. With the blessing of the Matron of the orphanage, she brought them to be cared for at the Zirkus. They continue to speak a language that no one but they understand and haven’t grown an inch taller in all the time they have been with us. We call them Baines and Blackwood.

And suddenly the troupe had swelled to nine.

Then Madeleine met a strange young man. His name is Merrick and it appears that he can move objects using only the power of his mind. He also seems to be able to communicate with animals. He appears to be hiding another secret, but he is keeping that close to his chest. We have no need to rush him. We are happy to welcome him as conjurer.

So, this is our raggle-taggle troupe of monsters, misfits and miscreants who live in a world just outside our own. We welcome you to the NachtZirkus.
